“A Cup of Christmas Tea”
Find a chair, take a deep breath, take a sip of tea and enjoy a wonderful morning with women from all walks of life. This year’s speaker from our own church community, Carole Stabler, will share with us glimpses of how Christ has brought her through various chapters of her own life in her talk, titled: “Life is too short for long poems.”
This is the perfect event to bring along your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers or any other woman in your life who might enjoy a break from the Christmas rush and a chance to hear the true message of Christmas. A delicious brunch tea will be served, catered by our own Lara Pauley. Bring a teacup with you to enjoy your tea with – even better, bring a teacup with a story!

At our Friday Oct 7th meeting, bring your gently used toys, books, pack and plays, maternity wear, children’s clothing, etc. Leave a bag, and fill up your bag with “new” items for your growing child. Anything not “swapped” will become part of our Community Serve Rummage Sale, benefitting Community Resource Center of Encinitas.
In turn, an anonymous donor has offered to match any funds (up to $2500) we raise for the Community Resource Center of Encinitas, and donate it to the MOPS budget, which in turn helps us with our MOPPETS program, outreach programs, and of course, helping our community of moms. No full sized cribs or carseats allowed.

Come serve together with family and friends at Community Serve day. Community Serve Day is the Sunday where we worship God by joining with our friends and neighbors to do tasks all over San Diego County that make a difference and shine God’s goodness. Jesus sent his disciples out, asking them to do good works, to care for those they met and to tell them that the kingdom of God has come near to them. Through our acts of service we want to bring God’s love to serve and serve with, sharing the kingdom of God. Imagine yourself, your family, your small group reaching out together. If you have a service organization, or coworkers invite them along. Community Serve Day offers us a perfect way to bring our friends together, meet needs and make a difference.
