Mentor Moms have survived the season of diapers and well-baby visits, and have returned to help other moms with their experience and perspective. They give of their time to attend our Friday morning meetings, act as a resource for information during table discussion, pray often for the moms at their table and meet once a month with the other Mentor Moms to pray for the group.
We are blessed to have Mentor Moms take part in our meetings. They openly share their own experiences as mothers of young children and remind us that the joys and challenges of motherhood are important. They are all members of Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. They look forward to getting to know you!

Semester fees for moms are $55 and for MOPPETS* are $60 for one child, and $110 for 2 or more children.
These fees help cover the costs incurred during the meetings such as speaker fees, craft supplies, MOPPETS staffing, materials and curriculum. It also covers the MOPS International Membership fee, which includes annual registration, MomSense Magazine subscription, weekly emails and MOPS mailings.
*We always have room for more moms in our MOPS group. However, in order to keep MOPPETS classes at sizes that are manageable and safe for our little ones, we sometimes must suspend enrollment in our MOPPETS program. For more information, see the MOPPETS section of this handbook.

MOPS Mission Statement
To encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Welcome to MOPS!
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom – urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms – moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar belief – Better Moms Make a Better World! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother – child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOPS International’s primary tools for encouragement are regular local meetings where moms of all ages and from all backgrounds gather to build friendships, share practical parenting strategies, and meet with mentors.
Chartered MOPS groups meet several times a month in 4,000 churches, ministries and non-profit groups throughout the U.S. and over 30 other countries. More than 102,000 women are currently registered in MOPS groups!
MOPS is run by moms, for moms. Organizing our meetings, decorating our room, making coffee, planning our year, preparing for crafts and recruiting volunteers for MOPPETS have all been done by fellow moms in this room. Every year the moms in our group uniquely shape our MOPS experience. Wondering how you can be a part of making MOPS happen? Be sure to talk with your DGL or MOPS Co-coordinators, Kristine Ferguson and Ericka Southcombe.
