MOPPETS Sick & Absence Policies

Sick Policy

If a child has a fever, cough, diarrhea, rash, congestion/runny nose or any other signs of a contagious illness, then please do not bring him/her to MOPPETS. Children, who show signs of illness, such as high temperatures, mucus cough, diarrhea, undiagnosed rash, “non-clear” runny nose, or infectious disease, cannot be accepted into the MOPPETS class.  Please inform Jen Engelhardt (jen@solanapres.org or 858-509-2580×1353)  if your child has been diagnosed with an infectious disease and has attended a MOPPETS Class prior to the realization of the exposure (i.e. chicken pox)

 Absences

If you know your child will not be attending a certain date or if unexpectedly your child will not be able to make a meeting, please contact Amanda Walker (sbmoppets@yahoo.com 858-342-9642 cell) by Thursday prior to the corresponding meeting.  If it is late on Thursday or the Friday morning of our meeting please CALL or TEXT so that we can accurately judge childcare needs that morning.

What to Bring – Personal Belongings

Please provide LABELED bottles, sippy/straw cups in the Rooms 8, 9, 10, 13 and 15.  Markers and tape are available at sign-in to ensure your child’s name is on their bottle/cup – please take responsibility for making sure your child’s items are clearly labeled.  Cups will be provided in Room 14.  Please label all of your child’s belongings. Consider extra clothing as necessary (potty training!) but please avoid personal toys (“loveys” are, of course, OK!).
